Legacy beats Moapa Valley in thriller: Wednesday, October 5, 2011; high school football:; By Case Keefer; Legacy was able to hold off a pesky effort from Moapa Valley en route to a 33-30 victory Thursday night. The Longhorns led by 10 in the fourth quarter before the Pirates cut the margin to a field goal. Moapa Valley couldn’t capitalize any further and Legacy escaped to snap a two-game losing streak.

Cimarron-Memorial narrowly takes down Legacy: Saturday, October 1, 2011; high school football:; By Case Keefer; One of the defining moments of Cimarron-Memorial’s season occurred in a 20-14 victory over Legacy on Saturday night. The Longhorns Steffan Webb broke loose for an 86-yard run early in the game, but the Spartans Marques Price refused to give up on the play. He caught up to Webb at the one-yard line and stripped the ball away for a turnover.
