The Foothill football team last week blew a two-touchdown lead in the fourth quarter in losing to Palo Verde.
It was the Falcons’ homecoming. And the game was televised for the entire prep football community to see.
Needless to say, the Falcons had a little extra motivation tonight against Legacy, where they scored seven touchdowns in the first half of a 46-6 victory in a game that had been expected to be close.
“We played with intensity,” Foothill coach Vernon Brown said. “We were mad with what happened last Thursday. We let one game away.”
Tarrell Mack-Lovely had touchdown receptions of 40 and 60 yards on passes from Mason Dew, and on the third play of the game, Jacob Pedrano broke loose for a 55-yard touchdown run.
It was the Falcons’ second win of the season.
“We finally showed up for four quarters,” Brown said. “The kids played inspired on both sides of the ball.”
Ternillia Thomas had a 40-yard fumble return for a touchdown after Avant Gates ripped the ball loose from a Legacy receiver. Nathan Anderson had an interception return. Ryan Perkins scored on a 50-yard reception for the Falcons' other points.
