Senior running back Cody Alfar rushed for 231 yards on 18 carries with three touchdowns to lead Shadow Ridge to a 51-20 victory over Durango. Melvin Johnson added two touchdowns, including a 80-yard kickoff return for the Mustangs.

The Palo Verde High football team surrendered a touchdown to visiting Durango today early in the first quarter to fall behind by six points. The Panthers wouldn’t be challenged the remainder of the night, closing the game with 77 unanswered points in a 77-6 victory.
