Quarterback Alex Rogers rushed and passed for a touchdown on Friday night for the Faith Lutheran football team in a 38-6 win over Durango.
Faith Lutheran had its highest scoring output on the season in improving to 5-0 in league games.
“It was the most complete game we’ve played,” Faith Lutheran coach Mike Sanford said. “I felt good about that. It was good to see.”
Cale Breslin had a pair of touchdowns, including a 61-yard run. Griffin Carty and Cade Keith had touchdown receptions for the Crusaders, and Garyt Odom passed for two scores.
Faith Lutheran plays Foothill next week in a battle of undefeated league foes. Foothill has a competent passing attack and “our defense is going to have to do a good job of being disciplined in coverage,” Sanford said.
