Voter turnout was light throughout Clark County on Tuesday for the municipal primary elections in Henderson, Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Boulder City and Mesquite. Polls opened at 7 a.m. and will closed at 7 p.m.
Boulder City: Nine City Council candidates agree vote will be pivotal

The nine candidates for Boulder City Council may not agree on much, but they are unanimous on one point — all say this election is pivotal. With council members Mike Pacini and Andrea Anderson not running for re-election, the balance of power could tilt. Early voting for the primary election, which will narrow the field from nine to four, begins Saturday.
North Las Vegas Mayor Michael Montandon said his city has "money in the bank" to push ahead with about $476 million worth of projects this year despite declining revenue.
Wayne Headrick wavered between two candidates running to become the next mayor of North Las Vegas. After speaking with candidates Shari Buck and Stephanie Smith at the Sun City Aliante Candidates Forum Tuesday night, Headrick was still undecided because, he said, both said all the right things.
As the city’s Election Day approaches, the Las Vegas City Council is gearing up the machinery to bring to the ballot two questions it doesn’t want asked and is opposing as strenuously as possible.
A group of Henderson homeowners is bringing together the 13 candidates seeking one of Henderson's three open offices in the upcoming municipal election.
With no incumbent in the mix, the race for mayor drew four candidates and for City Council Ward III six hopefuls by the time the filing period ended Friday.
