The Bishop Gorman High football team finished Southwest League play Thursday undefeated for the sixth straight season, using a pair of touchdown runs from junior Nate Starks in a 72-21 victory against Desert Oasis.
Tajon Allen added a touchdown run and interception for the three-time defending state champion Gaels, while quarterback Anu Solomon accounted for two touchdown passes. Randall Cunningham Jr. rushed and passed for a touchdown, and sophomore Alize Jones had a scoring reception.
Gorman, which led 44-0 at halftime, received second half touchdown runs from Daniel Stewart and Dylan Weldon.
The Gaels host Shadow Ridge next week in the Sunrise Regional quarterfinals.

Unfortunately the north team this year would get handled by almost a half dozen teams from the south, I wish it were the Sunrise winner going north at least so when Liberty/Basic/Canyon/Coronado/GV beats Reed by 3-4 td's they can't blame Gorman.
