Shadow Ridge will take the field this fall with one of the youngest teams in the Las Vegas Valley as it tries to return to the Sunset Regional playoffs. The Mustangs advanced to the semifinals in 2006, the furthest they have gone in the school’s seven-year history.
Shadow Ridge’s top player is sophomore linebacker Cameron Raynor who averaged 11 tackles per game last year as a freshman. He is one of three returning starters from a team which underachieved last year in finishing 3-7.
“I can’t say enough about our young players,” Shadow Ridge coach Gabe Gledhill said. “I really expect to see a lot from each of them this year.”
