Las Vegas Sun sports reporters Ray Brewer and Case Keefer recount their experience coaching the Las Vegas All-Star team against Findlay Prep in basketball and move on to football talk in the 11th Prep Sports Now of the year.
Green Valley finished out Sunrise Northeast Division play unbeaten, following a 33-0 rout of Silverado on Friday.
Gino Jonassaint was virtually unstoppable, rushing for 191 yards on 12 carries with four touchdowns.
“Gino did a great job tonight,” Green Valley coach Brian Castro said. “He had the line working hard for him. He ran the ball hard. We had a chance to go straight ahead, and it paid dividends for him.”
The Gators went 5-0 in division play (8-1 overall) and will start their quest for a state title against Foothill in the Sunrise Regional tournament.
Christian Lopez went a perfect 8-of-8 for 86 yards with a touchdown pass for Quintin Kohorst.
Silverado, the No. 4 seed from the Northeast, will play Liberty in the region tournament.

Could you imagine if Green Valley was in the SE like they should be? It would have made the SE the hands down toughest division in the state with Coro/Basic/Lib/GV fighting it out. I still consider GV a SE team and it's great to see a SE team represent so dang well.
