Coronado (3-5) has not put together an ideal season, but Friday made up for some of its struggles.
The Cougars destroyed Chaparral in a 53-0 victory.
“We scored on our second and third play,” Coronado coach Todd Stratton said. “It just went from there.”
Ryan Newton, Kentavius Hudson and Aaron Harwell all had early touchdowns for Coronado. In the second half, Stratton was able to substitute in his second string.
