  1. This makes him more than qualified to be our next president! Remember slick Willie?

  2. Let's be clear. Ensign had an affair with the wife of a close friend. Something neither Edwards nor Clinton nor Spitzer did. Ensign did it during the period he was head of the RSCC, trying to get Dems defeated and Repubs elected, relying on the "family values" crap....We've got massive hypocrisy here. Of course, since David Vitter didn't see fit to resign, Ensign won't either.

My advice to Ensign. Pull a Gingrich/Delay: Announce you've now FOUND JESUS, appear at all the megachurches in Nevada and blame it on the godless liberal media.

    The base will embrace you....

  3. What really irks me is that we were out trying to support and elect people of moral value, Mr. Ensign was enjoying the favors of a FRIEND's WIFE. This is not what I voted for. The reason for the "confession" seems to be one of no choice, Mr. Ensign was going to be exposed. Now to protect his "career", he is spinning the "really sorry" routine. It's old, it's undignified and it's not working. For the good of the party, please resign --- or better yet switch parties; they can have you. When will this end???

  4. Read Mr. Ensign's own words:

During the height of the scandal surrounding Bill Clinton's affair with Monica Lewinsky, the Nevada Republican denounced the president's conduct as "an embarrassing moment for the country."

'I think we have to feel very sad for the American people and Hillary and Chelsea,' he said.

Weeks later, Ensign would call on Clinton to resign. "I came to that conclusion recently, and frankly it's because of what he put his whole Cabinet through and what he has put the country through," he was quoted saying at the time. "He has no credibility left," he added.

Mr. Ensign take your own advice and resign. You have disgraced your State, the Country, your Party and many others. Please answer why you came out with this now and not last year.

  5. Oh...this will blow over and Palin still can pick him to be her Veep pick. LOL!!!!!
