What people should really know about is the C Street House where Ensign, Coburn and a handful of other GOP congressmen reside. This isn't just any old "men's boarding house", it's owned and run by "The Family", a quasi-secret right-wing Christian "group", complete with its own pastor. And who else is in that group? Well, try Rick Santorum and Mark Sanford for starters.
And since the Covenant of this group is to be highly protective of each other, this is hardly the group to be respectful of much of our democracy.

Hah. Well, it would be interesting to know what Fox News intended to do with this information. Of course, since it's been more than a week, I'm sure Fox has covered its tracks if there's any tracks to cover over.

Expect Hannity and O'Reilly to work overtime to somehow poo-poo this and turn it into an attack on liberals.

Let's be clear. Ensign had an affair with the wife of a close friend. Something neither Edwards nor Clinton nor Spitzer did. Ensign did it during the period he was head of the RSCC, trying to get Dems defeated and Repubs elected, relying on the "family values" crap....We've got massive hypocrisy here. Of course, since David Vitter didn't see fit to resign, Ensign won't either.

My advice to Ensign. Pull a Gingrich/Delay: Announce you've now FOUND JESUS, appear at all the megachurches in Nevada and blame it on the godless liberal media.

The base will embrace you....
