Oh, puhleeze, KDR. At least tell the whole truth on Rainey from the same source you reference: "The vacancy had been created when the previous incumbent, Benjamin F. Whittemore, was censured by the House for corruption and subsequently re-elected, after which the House refused to seat him."

It was Republican corruption that put Rainey in the seat; not his race.

It took the Dems (under JFK and LBJ) to finally give civil rights to ALL people of color almost 100 years later.

Just as he manuevered with the lives of our soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan to get press, he is doing the same here.

This summit [sic] was not about energy. It was about press for Boss Reid.

Question for neiman: Why would the Dems help the Psycho-in-Chief when they have been locked out of energy policy since this admin took over the White Haus? Remember Cheney's famous secret meeting with Big Oil?

Dems can take care of the energy probs when they are sworn in this January. Which means more than just drilling a deeper hole.
