With all the construction persons unemployed u would think that they accelerate some government projects. One that comes to mine is the new Veterans Hospital at 215. They have the money and land but it still will not get completed at the earliest till 2012. Before it can be opened they have to pass inspections and get approval for more money. This will take another year. Who says it doesn't pay to work for the government!!
This Jim Murren is a con artist. He is nothing more than these guys playing 3 card monte! Would he and other executives like to bet their jobs and salaries and comps on the on coming improvement? We need to reward execs on PERFORMANCE not BS! He can go in to government if he wants it both ways. The recession/depression is not ending till at least 2o12 which happens to be a Presidential election.
Lc That's the American way to minimize your taxes. I don't see u criticizing Bloomberg for spending 100m for a Mayor of New York or sleaze Chuck Schumer being so tight with the banking industry or of course the sleaziest of them all Harry Reid who bought land in Las Vegas at bargain prices with his connections. And didn't your friend (Reid) say the war is over and we should get out of Iraq/Afghanistan .
I don't know why Boyds is so interested in purchasing Stations. With their problems and Echelon never being built I would think that they would try and improve their current Casinos. I believe their goal is to take the best properties of Stations (RED ROCK, GREEN VALLEY,ALIANTE) for pennies on the dollar and sell some of their lesser properties ( Coast, Main Street )

We will see who is right in 6 months. As for me I think there is to much luxury shops at the strip.Go into any luxury Casino/hotel and they are all the same. Top chefs, restaurants, shops ,inflated slots and other Casino games.
