The older sister of a dismembered burlesque dancer is honoring the one-year anniversary of her death in Las Vegas.
Celeste Narvaez is scheduled to tour a Las Vegas domestic violence center Monday to honor her sister, 31-year-old Debora Flores Narvaez.
Monday marks the first anniversary of Flores Narvaez's death.
She was a dancer in the "Fantasy" show at the Luxor casino on the Las Vegas Strip. Show officials will donate a portion of ticket sales Monday night to the shelter in her memory.
Prosecutors say her ex-boyfriend, 32-year-old Jason Griffith, strangled her during an argument at his house, then sawed off her legs and tried to hide the body in plastic tubs filled with concrete.
He was a performer in the Beatles show, "Love," at The Mirage.
Griffin's attorney has asked for the trial to be delayed and a hearing to consider when to set a new trial date has been scheduled for Dec. 19.
