A trial date has been set for Jason “Blu” Griffith, who pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges of murdering Luxor dancer Debora Flores Narvaez.
Clark County District Court Judge Donald Mosley set a trial for Griffith to begin Nov. 28. Griffith pleaded not guilty and waived his right to a trial within 60 days during the brief court appearance.
Griffith, 32, is being held without bail at the Clark County Detention Center. He was a performer in "Love" at the Mirage hotel-casino.
Flores Narvaez, who was Griffith’s ex-girlfriend, was reported missing Dec. 12 after she didn’t attend a practice for the “Fantasy” show at the Luxor, where she worked part-time.
After getting national attention, the search for Flores Narvaez ended when her body was found Jan. 7 encased in concrete at a downtown residence.
Police say Griffith's roommate, Louis Colombo, told them Griffith killed Flores Narvaez and that he helped Griffith try to dispose of the body.
The Clark County Coroner's Office ruled that Flores Narvaez's death was the result of asphyxiation due to neck compression.
