Las Vegas Sun reporters Case Keefer and Ray Brewer break down high school football's tough Southeast Division. Five of the league's seven teams are part of the Sun's top-10 rankings.

The Cimarron-Memorial High football team scored two touchdowns in the final four minutes of the first half Saturday in a 37-8 victory against host Cheyenne.

Cimarron trailed 8-0 after surrendering a nine-minute scoring drive but posted 37 unanswered points to close the game.

“I thought we could bounce back and win, but I didn’t expect to be able to win the game like that,” Cimarron coach Rod Vollan said.

Brandon Robinson started the scoring for Cimarron (1-1) with a 26-yard interception return for a touchdown. Christian Brown, who rushed for 105 yards on 14 carries, closed the first half with a 2-yard touchdown run.

Gerard Martinez completed 4 of 7 passes for 67 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for a score.

Cimarron held Cheyenne to 170 yards of offense.
