Las Vegas Sun reporters Ray Brewer and Steve Silver break down last week's high school football contests and preview this Friday's upcoming games including the Henderson Bowl between Green Valley and Basic as well as the Cleat game Chaparral and Eldorado.
LJ McMorris , Devin Weidemann and Martell Crockett had rushing touchdowns Friday night for Legacy High in its 35-7 victory against Cheyenne .
The Longhorns (8-0) are one of three undefeated teams in the large-school classification. They struggled early against Cheyenne — possibly a hangover from a big win against Palo Verde the week before.
“We came out a little flat, but it has been a tough two weeks for us emotionally,” Legacy coach Dave Snyder said.
Legacy capitalized on several Cheyenne turnovers and scored a pair of defensive touchdowns.

When Bishop Gorman plays Legacy this year in the playoffs, Legacy will get beaten badly by a far superior football program run by Coach Sanchez. Legacy should relish these victories because Gorman will deflate them in a few weeks.
I am getting tired of Bishop Gorman people talking crap about Legacy.. Bishop should stop recruiting and play against real teams like Legacy, Palo, Cimarron and Cheyenne on a regular basis and then see how well they would do. Yes we all know that BG has a stellar football program!!! But can we give some respect to teams when they deserve it. Stop all the hate BG!!!
If gorman makes it to Legacy to the playoffs it will be a great game, it was last year thats for sure. But there are no guarantees that either Gorman or Legacy will make it that far. There are many good teams out there this year.
