Metro Police have arrested a man suspected of shooting a motorist to death Dec. 16 as he sat in his vehicle stuck in traffic.
Homicide detectives arrested Ralph Fuller, 50, at about 7 p.m. Monday in the slaying of Michael McDaniel.
Fuller was taken to the Clark County Detention Center and charged with one count of murder with a deadly weapon, police said.
When officers arrived near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Owens Avenue at about 8:48 a.m. on Dec. 16, they found McDaniel in the driver's seat of his vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. McDaniel was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Witnesses at the scene told police the victim was in his vehicle waiting to go westbound on Owens when another man who was also stuck in traffic left a white Nissan vehicle, walked up to the victim's vehicle and fired multiple shots into the driver's seat, police said.
Witnesses said the shooter then calmly walked back to his vehicle, made a U-turn eastbound on Owens and left the scene, police said.

Oh, wow. He's black? Color me surprised.
While it's statistically true that the majority of violent crimes in and around Vegas involve African-Americans, it's pointless to post what you did and only serves to show your deficient upbringing. Would you have commented to the story if the suspect were white? If you have nothing constructive (and less racist) to say in a public forum, you're better off keeping your thoughts to yourself.
I was just expressing my surprise. My upbringing has nothing to do with it. There's a difference between racism and discrimination, too. Get your facts straight before you go mouthing off.
