With signing day roughly two months away, the UNLV football program will host seven recruits on official visits this weekend.
Four of those who will be in town are already committed to the Rebels. That group includes juco defensive backs Mike Grant and Warren Ziegler>, Murrieta, Calif., running back Bradley Randle and Phoenix center Doug Zismann.
Those who are still up in the air each bring some intrigue.
One is Marcus Sullivan, a senior running back at Cheyenne High who could be used at plenty of different spots at the next level. The second high school prospect is Spring Valley defensive tackle Nate Holloway.
The third is another juco talent with some major UNLV ties. B.J. Bell, a defensive end from Santa Ana Community College, is the younger brother of former Rebels linebackers Beau and Zach. Beau, now a rookie with the Cleveland Browns, was the 2007 Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year. Bell is rated as a four-star prospect by Rivals.com, and is their No. 40 junior college prospect in this year's crop.
Another potential juco transfer several Rebels fans have their eyes on is former Palo Verde standout Jarrell Harrison, who is currently at City College of San Francisco. He's expected to choose between UNLV, Arizona, North Carolina State and Missouri. He'll be taking his official visit next weekend.
The signing day for mid-year juco transfers is the following Wednesday -- December 17.

You can't be better than your recruiting. I think we have a lot of real good, fast players in the program. If we can bring in some more and start understanding that DEFENSE is the most important aspect of football, we are going to keep getting better. That is why we need to make a move and hire Rocky Long as defensive coordinator immediately.
With an improved defense we could actually win a lot of games because the offense if very efficient.
If we continue the positives of this year, notably the low turnovers, near perfect red-zone scoring, and low penalties, we could get to the 8-9-10 win total which would be a major major accomplishment.
Then if we could figure out how to build a stadium on campus we may be able to establish a respectable football program which would help UNLV advance its academic mission in a myriad of ways.
A better UNLV is the key to diversifying Nevada's narrow economy. Make no mistake about it, football done right has a LOT to do with the success of a university on many levels.
Lets get this thing rolling! Go Rebels!
How would building a stadium on campus improve the football team? Only about 1500 students live in the dorms, it's a commuter school.
