UNLV CAREER

Smith enters his first season in the Runnin' Rebel program in 2012-13 ... Transferred from the University of Connecticut following the 2011-12 season ... Will practice with the Runnin' Rebels but must sit out of games during the 2012-13 season as a redshirt.

SOPHOMORE (2011-12) - CONNECTICUT

In two years at Connecticut, he appeared in 74 games ... As a sophomore he played in 33 contests, made 14 starts, and averaged 4.4 points and 3.4 rebounds in just over 18 minutes played per game ... In Big East Conference play, he averaged 5.3 points and 3.2 rebounds per game.

FRESHMAN (2010-11) - CONNECTICUT

As a freshman at UConn, he was a starter on the 2011 National Championship team ... Played in 41 games, started 33, and averaged 6.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 25.2 minutes per game ... He averaged 5.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game during the 2011 NCAA Tournament, and he tied a career high with four blocked shots in the national title game against Butler.
