Las Vegas Sun sports reporters Ray Brewer and Case Keefer talk Liberty's statement victory, Bishop Gorman's error-filled night and Centennial's time to shine against Arbor View. In the middle of the usual discussion, they break into an argument over which player is having the best season so far — D.J. Pumphrey or Niko Kapeli.
Del Sol coach Preston Goroff has a simple explanation for his team’s 56-21 victory over Sierra Vista Friday night.
“We got back to what we know,” Goroff said. “We moved the chains and played good defense.”
The Dragons wore down the Mountain Lions early with their ground game. Then they went to the air to further the damage.
Senior quarterback Dylan Greer threw three touchdowns and earned a grade of “awesome” from Goroff. Two of the touchdown passes went to Tyrone Rouse, who also returned an interception for a touchdown.
Rouse and Romance Oliver keyed the defensive turnaround after Del Sol gave up 59 points to Green Valley last week.
