The Las Vegas High football team recorded its second shutout in three weeks Friday night, blanking Chaparral 46-0.
The Wildcats have only surrendered three points in the last three weeks to open Northeast Division play 3-0. Hassan Henderson passed for three touchdowns in the win, including a pair of scoring strikes to Travon Langston.
“We still have some things we need to work on,” Las Vegas coach Chris Faircloth said. “We had our quarterback play his best game, as far as his poise and doing what we ask of him.”
Danny Jaime, Cameron Rogers and Farrell Victor each added touchdowns.
The Wildcats’ Oct. 22 game against Canyon Springs will likely decided the Northeast title. Both teams are 3-0 in league play.
