A second man has been arrested in connection with the Wednesday shooting death of a 7-Eleven store clerk in North Las Vegas.

At about 4 p.m. Friday, detectives booked Jerome Bolton, 22, on one count each of suspicion of murder with a deadly weapon, robbery with a deadly weapon, burglary with a deadly weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery, North Las Vegas Police said.

Police allege that Bolton conspired with another man, Jason Miller, 24, to rob the store and acted as the lookout while the robbery and shooting took place.

Earlier in the day, detectives booked Miller into the North Las Vegas Detention Center. He was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder with a deadly weapon, robbery with a deadly weapon, burglary with a deadly weapon and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.

North Las Vegas Police said that at about 2 a.m. Wednesday, Miller and a second man they now believe to be Bolton entered the 7-Eleven store at 2100 E. Cheyenne Ave., which is at the intersection of North Civic Center Drive in North Las Vegas. Police allege Miller approached the clerk, identified as 38-year-old Suchinma Revtissamahramaye, and demanded money from the cash register while Bolton acted as a lookout.

Revtissamahramaye followed Miller's demands and gave him money, then Miller shot the clerk multiple times, police said.

During the robbery, two customers tried to enter the store but Miller allegedly threatened them with his gun and ordered them to leave. The customers left the store and weren't injured.

The customers were identified and interviewed by investigators. Miller's alleged threats to the customers brought the two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.

North Las Vegas Police are asking anyone with information in the case to call detectives at 633-9111 or Nevada Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
