David Guetta performs at Haze in Aria at CityCenter on Jan. 2, 2010.

Haze Nightclub

Who: Light Group

What: At 25,000 square feet, Haze is the largest of Vegas' three new nightclubs.

Where: Aria Resort & Casino

When: Open Thursday through Sunday, 10:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.

Why you should go: A big budget and a location within Vegas' newest, high-profile casino means big-budget DJ talent and celebrity hosts. A quirky, stadium-like design means nearly all VIP seating focuses inward towards the dance floor and the DJ booth that juts out into it. Listen for Top 40 and house performances by resident DJs Klutch, Karma and Bizzy, as well as guest DJs. The bone-rattling sound system seems better suited for house, but expect mob-rule to bring in lots of hip-hop and big-ticket celebs.

How much: $50, locals free Thursday's industry night

Who: The Nightlife Group at the Hard Rock

What: A sexy, mid-size club (14,000 square feet) with opulent furnishings and décor including a five-cabana patio overlooking the Hard Rock pool complex.

Where: HRH Tower at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino

When: Open Thursday through Sunday, 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Why you should go: San Francisco-based designer Mr. Important had a field day, turning Vanity into a gloriously self-involved play space for locals and tourists alike. Reflective surfaces and pampering services abound. Thursdays continue Body English's tradition of Godskitchen with world-class house DJs; Sunday continues the Hard Rock's late-weekend domination with Sin locals/industry night. Resident DJs include Eric D-Lux, Clinton Sparks, Presto One, Five and Eric Cubeechee.

How much: $40 men, $20 ladies, local ladies always free; locals free Sundays.

Who: Eva Longoria Parker and partners

What: The first female-owned nightclub in Las Vegas finally realized. Girl power!

Where: Crystals at CityCenter

When: Open Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Why you should go: A killer sound system installed by Sound Investment and presided over by True Nightlife with resident DJs Hollywood, Jose 2 Hype, R.O.B. and Exodus spinning hip-hop, Top 40 and dance while getting a little wild on the microphone. At 9,000 square feet, Eve is the littlest of the newbies. The small-ish dance floor gets filled up pretty quickly as does the one square bar. VIP tables boast electronic tablet menus and are presented with one complementary (ha-ha) apple, courtesy of Eve. Wednesday's industry night brings in the locals.

How much: $40 men, $30 ladies, local ladies always free; locals free Wednesdays.

Smokin' Hot Aces

Smokin' Hot Aces.

Who: Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Leonard Roudner and GM Mart Helfand

What: A purely rock 'n roll bar with a center-Strip location

Where: Venetian Resort & Casino

When: Open daily at 5 p.m.

Why you should go: The casual 4,500 square foot joint brings live music, DJs, poker tournaments, game nights and live karaoke to the place where Venus and Vivid once reigned. Top local and national rock bands perform weekly. A pool table, jukebox and three sizes of Pabst Blue Ribbon don't hurt either...

How much: $20 per person for live music nights

Gold Lounge

Gold Lounge at Aria.

Who: Light Group

What: If Elvis had ever had the chance to open a swanky bar and lounge in Vegas…

Where: Aria Resort & Casino

When: Open nightly, 5 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Why you should go: For pre- and post-party purposes, Gold is the best bet if that party is anywhere at CityCenter. But as a destination lounge itself, Gold "retro modern" boutique nightclub offers a loungy vibe from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and a high-energy one from 10 p.m. to close with sounds by DJs G-Square, Tino, Que, Silence and Jon Pearce spinning Top 40, upbeat pop, electro-pop, hip-hop and rock mash-ups. Black, gold and mirrored accents play nicely amid low-profile couches and coffee tables. VIP tables are arranged around the oval bar.

How much: $20 cover, locals free on Wednesdays beginning in February.

Who: Light Group

What: High-limit gaming pit meets decadent high-end casino lounge.

Where: Aria Resort & Casino

When: Monday through Friday, 4 p.m. to 4 a.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 a.m.

Why you should go: Go for the ambiance and music, stay for the gaming and cocktails. DJs spin rock and '80s; Que on Tuesdays, DJ Silence Thursday through Saturday.

How much: No cover. How refreshing!
