C.J. Hunt had two touchdowns as Desert Oasis beat Western 49-0 Thursday night.
Shortly after the game, Desert Oasis coach Faron Seibel was already looking forward to his team’s first-round playoff game against Palo Verde.
“I don’t know if you can shut them down, but you can try to slow them down,” Seibel said. “We’ve got to keep our offense on the field. That’s the best defense.”
The Diamondbacks finished the regular season 7-2 and third in the Southwest Division.
Desert Oasis, a second-year school, is in the playoffs in its first year of eligibility.
