Vegas mother whose child drowned arrested in Florida

The mother of toddler Chrissa Nina Matthews, who drowned in a back yard swimming pool earlier this summer, has been arrested in Florida on a Metro Police warrant, police said.
The Pasco County Sheriff's Office said 24-year-old Sheri Elizabeth Badosky was taken into custody Wednesday in Holiday, Fla., a suburb of Tampa.
She was charged with one count of child neglect with substantial bodily harm on a warrant obtained by Metro Police. Matthews drowned days before her second birthday, the Clark County Coroner's Office said.
Metro Police and Las Vegas Fire Department paramedics rushed to a residence on Yellow Dawn Court, near Ann Road and Decatur Boulevard, about 4:30 p.m. June 30. The child wasn't breathing when she was pulled from the swimming pool, rescuers said.
She was taken to a hospital where she died.
The family had a history of investigations for physical abuse, medical neglect and lack of supervision involving other members of the family dating back to 2005.
According to Clark County's Child Welfare Agency records, a report at the time of the child's birth expressed concern for the child's welfare. Another family member had been placed in protective custody at the time and the case was closed on Sept. 23, 2008.

I hope this brings closure to the family of the young daughter...i just hope that she does get charged for the fact of the abbuse...
The mother's side of the family are the abusers. The father's side of the family always wanted custody of this little girl. The courts should have listened!!!
She had a warrant and decided to run... What a shameless "mother" with obvious drug history I'm sure. My condolensces to the father's family whom I read decided to donate toys in the girl's memory. May she be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
