Coaching change rumors are just that

Self-proclaimed Ontario hockey aficionado and keeper of the Loosepucks.com blog, Terry Doyle, has pulled a rumor out of somewhere extra deep.

Doyle, who is a television and radio personality in Sarnia, Ontario, claimed on his blog Thursday that London Knights assistant coach Pat Curcio resigned from his current position with the OHL's Knights to take over for Glen Gulutzan as the coach and general manager of the Las Vegas Wranglers.

Let's put this rumor to bed right now, because Doyle apparently forgot to organize his pill box properly this week.

Yes, Doyle really wants to believe that a guy with barely any coaching experience is going to take over for Gulutzan, who has built the Wranglers into a Kelly Cup contender nearly each year of his tenure? Give me a break.

Here's hoping Doyle can hear the laughter all the way from Las Vegas.

On a serious note, Wranglers' front office sources absolutely denied this claim. As of tonight, Gulutzan is absolutely still the coach of the Wranglers for next season.
