For the third consecutive weekend, the Wranglers answered a Thursday night loss with a Friday night victory as Las Vegas narrowly edged the Bakersfield Condors 2-1 in front of 4,062 fans at the Orleans Arena.   • Wranglers forward scores for local food bank

    When Ned Lukacevic lights the lamp for the Wranglers this season, he'll be scoring a goal for more than one team. The immediate impact of the forward's goals will be felt on the scoreboard, but the lasting impact will be felt in the hungry stomachs of kids across the Las Vegas area.     There must be something in the water or at least the $1 beers at the Orleans Arena on "Thirsty Thursday" nights this season. For the third consecutive Thursday home game, the Las Vegas Wranglers lost by a margin of at least three goals as this week the Bakersfield Condors snagged a 4-1 victory in front of 3,274 fans.   • Wranglers shuffle roster before tonight's game

    ONTARIO, Calif. -- The Las Vegas Wranglers will not be invited to this homecoming party again. Coming off one of the worst losses in franchise history, the Wranglers responded by spoiling the Ontario Reign's home opener with a 4-3 victory in front of 8,067 fans at the Citizens Business Bank Arena.   • Wranglers pack up for first road trip of the season

    Friday morning the Las Vegas Wranglers travel to Ontario, Calif. to face off with the Ontario Reign (2-3) for their first road trip of the regular season. The Wranglers lost to the Reign, 4-3, in Ontario earlier this month, in their second and final preseason game. The red goal light blazing every few minutes, a young goalie desperately searching for relief, and a downtrodden home crowd streaming for the exits by the second period. Within minutes of the opening whistle Thursday night, the Las Vegas Wranglers found themselves in a multi-goal hole that soon sunk into a crater as the Utah Grizzlies slammed the Wranglers 9-2 at the Orleans Arena for the worst loss in franchise history.   • ECHL suspends Wranglers goalie for misconduct

    The Las Vegas Wranglers' fight-filled and penalty-laden victory over the Alaska Aces Saturday night has officially resulted in two suspensions. The ECHL announced Monday it suspended Las Vegas goalie Michael Ouzas and Alaska defenseman B.J. Crum one game each after both players received game misconducts at the Orleans Arena on Saturday.   • Late scoring surge lifts Wranglers past Aces

    The Las Vegas Wranglers certainly know how to start a party. Despite playing three games in as many nights, the Wranglers showed no signs of fatigue as they used a late scoring binge to knock off the Alaska Aces 6-3 in front of 4,321 fans at the Orleans Arena Saturday night. The Wranglers scored five third period goals, including three goals within the first five minutes of the period for their second consecutive victory and to set up a celebratory Saturday.     Take one run at Wranglers goaltender Michael Ouzas and he'll brush it off as playing hard. Take a second run at him and his teammates will take care of the business.     After suffering a blowout loss to the Alaska Aces Thursday night, Las Vegas Wranglers coach Ryan Mougenel issued a stern challenge to his young squad -- return the next night with a lot of passion or find a new team to play for. Apparently nobody is ready to leave Las Vegas just yet. The Wranglers responded to their coach's test with plenty of emotion Friday night as they handed Alaska its first loss of the season 4-3 in a fight-filled evening in front of 3,372 fans at the Orleans Arena.
