Dallas Stars sign Krahn

The Dallas Stars of the NHL signed former Las Vegas Wranglers goalie Brent Krahn to a one-year, two-way contract for the 2009-10 season Thursday.

The Calgary Flames originally drafted the Winnipeg native with the ninth overall pick in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.

As a rookie, Krahn went 7-5-2 in with a .925 save percentage in 14 games with the Wranglers in the 2003-04 season. He returned to Las Vegas for a brief stint this past season in which he posted a 1-4-1 record in six appearances before heading to the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League.

Krahn became the 396th ECHL player to reach the NHL when he entered a game for the Stars in relief of Marty Turco on Feb. 14.
