Blues sign former Wrangler

The St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League signed former Las Vegas Wranglers forward Adam Cracknell this week.

Cracknell, who was selected in the ninth round (279th overall) by the Calgary Flames in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, had 22 points (8g-14a) in 31 regular season games and six points (3g-3a) in eight Kelly Cup Playoff games for the Wranglers as a rookie in 2006-07.

He returned to Las Vegas in 2007-08 and posted career regular season highs of 29 goals, 30 assists and 59 points in 61 games. He ranked second in the Kelly Cup Playoffs with 22 points in 21 games with a team-leading nine goals and 13 assists as the Wranglers advanced to the Kelly Cup Finals.

The 24-year-old played in the American Hockey League last season and had 26 points (10g-16a) in 79 games for the Quad City Flames.
