McCulloch signs pro contract

The Las Vegas Wranglers have until Tuesday afternoon to officially set their 23-man playoff roster, but they already shuffled their roster a bit on Monday.

The Wranglers released forward Scott McCulloch from his amateur tryout agreement and signed him to a professional contract. McCulloch, who just finished his fifth season at Colorado College, has recorded nine points in eight games with the Wranglers since joining the team in late March.

The Wranglers also released defenseman John Schwarz from his amateur tryout agreement and placed forward Tim Spencer on the 30-day injured reserve list. Spencer, who often serves as the enforcer for the squad, will be sorely missed. The 6-foot-4, 230-pound Spencer racked up 196 penalty minutes in 51 games this season.
