News channel 13, driver can only do so much to sign a pledge is not going to reduce pedestrian accident nor will it resolve the issue. All the safety device cannot keep pedestrian safe. Here is a case where a man walking in the dark decided to cross in the middle of the street. The reason the law states you either cross in a cross walk or from corner to corner is to help driver identify pedestrians because its at an intersection. Pedestrian are just as much to blame in many of the accidents that have occurred, and I have seen many example daily of pedestrians in wheelchair, electric carts and walkers who use the middle of the street because its too much of an inconvenience for them to go to the corner or cross walk, which put drivers at danger because they will have to make an evasive action to avoid hitting them.
