Foothill has been Henderson's most successful program since opening in 2001, winning five Southeast Division titles and advancing to the state semifinals in 2001.

But the Falcons missed the playoffs for the second time in school history last fall as they relied on several sophomores starting in key positions. Led by quarterback Aaron Dupin, the group — benefiting from that year of varsity experience — says they can return Foothill to the top of the league.

"Last year we kind of went through some growing pains," Dupin said. "I think this will be a breakout year for us."
