The government has never run anything proficiently. More waste at the taxpayers' expense.
Interestingly I am the only user of this computer and I have not voted. When I just tried to cast a "yes", I am notified that my vote did not count because another vote was already made from my computer. There were only two "no" votes showing and no "yes" votes. Soooo are we at the begining of a dirty tricks effort to sway public opinion? I support the Public Option idea. I wonder if this comment will show up in print. I will check after work today. Is health care really a right for all Americans? I vote "yes". Love, Bingowaba
I say no. After watching 60 Minutes and seeing all the fraud that Medicare and Medicaid have forget it. The government can't run anything responsibly. Until we admit there is a problem it will never be resolved. At this point the blame lies with all administrations. Someone needs to have the common sense to say "enough is enough"! Until then, no to a government health plan.
my family plan cost $720 in 2007 $818 in 2008 and they wanted $980 this year. As we are all completely healthy and have never even seen a doctor in these 3 years this reason alone is why I cannot wait for an affordable alternative.
im the only one using this computer and my vote was not recorded. I voted NO!! I dont trust the goverment. what they give you they can take away.
Government runs programs as efficiently and competently as the people we vote for are competent and efficient. When enough people vote for the party of incompetence and corruption, otherwise known as Republicans, who then go about dismantling any and all good government programs by hiring incompetent managers and defunding those same programs, the result is obvious.
Let leeches like Teamster work for their own health care.
Government-Run anything is a very bad idea.
Evidently you are not recording yes votes.
My NO vote wasn't recorded and I did not vote previously. Good Job Sun!
LETS TRUST THE REPUBLICANS AND THE LOBBYIESTS WHO OWN THEIR SOULS. SPEAKING OF GOVERNMENT'S ABILITY TO RUN THINGS LETS TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT THE PRIVATE SECTOR AND JUST HOW SUCCESSFUL THEY HAVE BEEN OVER THE LAST FORTY YEARS AT RUNNING PUBLIC PROGRAMS. THEY ARE REAL SUCCESSFUL AT LINING CEO'S POCKETS AND TAKING CARE OF CROOKED POLITICIANS WHO KEEP THEM IN BUSINESS.
As many have noticed, the poll doesn't seem to be counting votes. We had a pretty major server overhaul earlier this week and the problem appears to be tied to that. We're working on the problem and hope to have it fixed soon. Sorry for the confusion.
If we truly want a "big brother" type of government where our needs are taken care of by the government, even when it is already bankrupt because of spending far more than it can take in by taxing us, the productive Americans, we are choosing to destroy our economy.
This country was founded on the principles of small government, power to the people who work and produce the great economy we've enjoyed, and our freedom to make our own choices as to what services we buy from those who provide them.
We do not have the right to the services of our neighbors without paying for them directly from our own pockets. It is unconstitutional to demand that our neighbors donate their services at a price determined by the government. They have a right to their own income, just as we have a right to ours. The government has a right only to that portion needed to support our defense, postal service and necessary infrastructure.
I'm getting sick of the extreme power grab by our government.
