  1. What on earth would let a man think he could attack a woman like that in front of everyone?

The media have turned us into a nation of haters. I can't imagine this happening two years ago. I blame fright wing radio and FOX for whipping people into a hateful frenzy.

  2. @derek u are right. right and teabaggers and fox whipped up hatred if they don't get there way or try to push there way on other people. I'm sick what have this this nation is now. hatred toward other people race. hatred toward other people religious. thank u bush and tea baggers and fox. spreading this hatred toward other people.

  3. We are beginning to look more and more like some kind of banana republic with this sort of behavior. It is sad that we can't even try to listen to one another anymore. Instead of a role model for democracy around the world, we are debasing it.

  4. So this is what reasoned discourse has degenerated into.

    Jerry Springer for President!

  5. At least they both like the same shirt!

  6. The fight started because the two ladies were trying to pass by the seated man and he push one lady out of the way then the second lady went off on him. He looked like he tried to restrain himself but things got out of control. This wasn't about politics it was about a lack of common courtesy. He should have apologized to the first lady and the second lady should have restrained herself. People need to learn how to respect the people around them.

  7. I see two very angry people.

I don't happen to see "liberal" or "conservative" plastered to anyones forehead.

I also don't see who might have "started it." But I'd love to talk to someone seated right behind them.

  8. Is this the depth to which we've descended in our public discourse? Do we really wish to conduct ourselves in this manner? This scene reminds me of a news clip from the parliament of Thailand or some other third world hellhole in which politicians and citizens regularly brawl with each other. Eventually, if this behavior continues unabated someone is going to employ what Sharron Angle has referred to as "a Second Amendment solution," and there will be bloodshed. With the level of vitriol in today's political campaigns, I am truly surprised that no one has been killed.

I attended one of the healthcare town hall meetings during the congressional recess in the summer of 2009. I was standing next to a man who was holding a sign that bore the Thomas Jefferson quote, "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." He was also carrying an AR-15 rifle with collapsible stock, a single-point tactical sling and a red dot sight. It scared the hell out of me and I'm a life member of the NRA. I actually own such a rifle, but it seemed neither the time nor the place to display it.
