Dean Heller's title isn't the only thing that's transitioning: as the congressman becomes the senator, he's also got to move his personal effects and much of his staff across the Capitol (though his CD-2 constituent services office will remain open for business until a replacement is voted in). On Tuesday afternoon, the head of an elk Heller shot in Lincoln County 15 years ago waited outside his House office, awaiting transport to the Senate. The elk, which ranks among Nevada's top 100, is sizable: they had to take the door off its hinges to get it out into the hallway. Measurements have yet to be done on the Senate side, where the doors to Sen. John Ensign's old office in the Russell building, which he's moving into, may well be wider.
