Garrard Martinez, a freshman on the Meadows varsity basketball team, practices free throws during basketball practice on Dec. 10. Martinez, who was also a quarterback on the Meadows football team, is a cousin of NBA star, Keith Van Horn, who pays for him to go to the private school.
