A newly planted tree lies snapped Thursday in Anthem Hills Park. The tree buckled under the weight of the snow. A rare snowstorm blanketed the Las Vegas Valley on Wednesday, delaying flights, causing widespread fender-benders and canceling school. More than 6 inches of snow fell in parts of the valley, forecasters said.
