The senior wide receiver entered Thursday’s Sunrise Regional semifinal game against visiting Basic with 21 touchdowns, easily having his way with the opposition every week. Foothill sophomore QB continues break through season, leads Falcons to a playoff win: Friday, November 4, 2011; high school football:; Edward Hauth, Las Vegas Sun; Even a flu virus and rainy conditions couldn’t stop Foothill High sophomore quarterback Drew Doxtator from winning his first playoff game. Doxtator threw four touchdowns Friday to help the host Falcons advance to the Sunrise Regional semifinals with a 34-12 victory against Desert Pines in the regional quarterfinals.

Liberty takes out Foothill for second straight Southeast division title: Friday, October 28, 2011; high school football: Niko Kapeli ran for 304 yards, while brother Jordan Kapeli had 96 yards for Liberty; By Case Keefer; With realignment on the way next year, Thursday marked the final night of the Henderson-exclusive Southeast Division. At least the league went out in style. In a game between the division’s two best teams to determine the 2011 champion, Liberty scored one more time than Foothill in a 49-41 thriller

Las Vegas High still No. 3 in Sun's rankings, ready for Bone Game rivalry with Rancho: Tuesday, October 18, 2011; high school football:; By Ray Brewer; The third-ranked team in the Sun’s top-10 rankings will be involved in one of the most anticipated games this week. It’s rivalry week on the local high school gridiron, starting Thursday night when No. 3 Las Vegas High attempts to extend its winning streak against Rancho in the annual Bone Game to 16 straight seasons.

Foothill passing game produces another victory: Saturday, October 15, 2011; By Case Keefer; Foothill sophomore quarterback Drew Doxtator has gone from an unknown at the beginning of the season to one of the valley’s best passers. Doxtator had yet another big night for the Falcons Friday in a 28-13 Homecoming victory over the Silverado Skyhawks. Doxtator threw for all four touchdowns.

The end result was a victory Thursday at Del Sol, with the Falcons leading by 32-points at the beginning of the fourth quarter and holding on for a 44-38 win.

Foothill slips by Desert Oasis in final minutes, 28-24: Friday, September 9, 2011; high school football:; Edward Hauth; Foothill High senior wide receiver Kyle Keplinger hauled in an 18-yard touchdown reception from Drew Doxtator with 2:29 remaining in Friday’s football game to give the Falcons a 28-24 victory over Desert Oasis.

Foothill, Cimarron crack the Sun's top 10 rankings: Tuesday, August 30, 2011; high school football: No change at the top with Palo Verde, Del Sol and Arbor View each winning by double digits; By Ray Brewer; If we learned anything last week during the first installment of high school football for the 2011 season, it’s that anything can happened. That anything was a shocking upset by Bonanza, rallying late to beat Silverado 30-29 and knock the respected Southeast Division team out of the top 10. Bonanza wasn’t expected by many to win the game — well, except by the players themselves.

Sophomore QB shines for Foothill in blowout of Durango: Friday, August 26, 2011; high school football: Drew Doxtator passes for three touchdowns in first varsity start, Falcons win season opener; By Ray Brewer; Foothill High’s Drew Doxtator didn’t play like a sophomore quarterback receiving his first varsity start Thursday night. He consistently made the big play look easy in passing for nearly 300 yards and three touchdowns in the Falcons' 45-28 victory against visiting Durango in the first game for both schools.
