CityCenter opened their second building Thursday: Crystals retail and dining district. We take you on a tour of the 500,000-square-foot mall on Las Vegas Boulevard that boasts indoor artwork and such high-end retailers as Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co., Christian Dior, Hermes and Prada.

Beso, the Las Vegas restaurant and nightclub at CityCenter owned by actress Eva Longoria and co-investors, filed for bankruptcy Thursday to restructure nearly $5.7 million in debt and other liabilities.

The country is emerging from its worst economic downturn since the 1930s and Las Vegas remains mired in a recession, but a high-end French retailer hasn’t felt that impact along the Strip and is even eyeing expansion plans for the market.

Adding a slew of high-end retailers to the Las Vegas Strip, CityCenter’s Crystals retail and entertainment district opened on Thursday, marking the unveiling of the massive project’s second building. Crystals opened at noon for a charity shopping event and at 5 p.m. to the public. The 500,000-square-foot retail and dining district has direct access from Las Vegas Boulevard and houses some of the most high-end brands in fashion. The retail selection at Crystals includes names such as Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co., Christian Dior, Hermes and Prada.

A legal dispute has emerged pitting MGM Mirage's CityCenter against an air tour operator over the name of a CityCenter retail store. MGM Mirage's CityCenter Land LLC filed suit Thursday in Las Vegas against Grand Canyon tour operator Papillon Airways.
