One person was killed in a pedestrian crash in west Las Vegas Friday night, according to a Metro Police news release.

Metro police responded at 7:43 p.m. to West Charleston Boulevard and Rockaway Street.

Evidence and witness statements indicated a 2017 Nissan Altima was traveling westbound on Charleston Boulevard approaching Rockaway Street when the pedestrian was struck.

Police say the pedestrian was crossing the intersection outside of a marked crosswalk when hit by the vehicle.

The pedestrian died at the scene, according to the release. Details about the pedestrian such as age and gender were not released Saturday.

The 38-year-old female driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and showed no signs of impairment, the release says.

The pedestrian’s death is the 100th traffic-related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction since the start of 2023.
