Las Vegas Fire & Rescue found the body of a possible drowning victim entangled in debris in northwest Las Vegas early Saturday morning, officials said in a statement.

The department responded to a report of an unconscious person near the intersection of Lorenzi Street and Westcliff Drive. The victim likely was swept away by moving water.

Clark County has been under a flash flood warning since Friday.

The department responded to 24 swift water rescue events Friday, including 10-12 people rescued from standing or moving water, the agency posted on social media today. They’ve additionally responded to 30-35 stranded vehicles in flood water.

No further details on the victim were released.

The department stayed busy with swift water rescues on Saturday, officials said. There were no injuries or deaths involved with any of the rescues.

Specific details about the rescues were not available Saturday night.
