Rivalries galore

Elijah Hicks rushed for about 200 yards and three touchdowns today for the Las Vegas High football team in a 35-14 victory against Eldorado. It was the Wildcats’ first win in eight games.
“We’ve been focused on trying to get ourselves better,” Las Vegas coach Erick Capetillo said. “It’s a matter of putting it all together. We always told them that we haven’t played a full game, but when put a full game together, you’ll be scary.”
Miles Davis had a kickoff return for a touchdown for Las Vegas, and Cody Summers had a rushing touchdown.
Next week, Las Vegas plays Rancho in the Bone Game, which is one of Nevada’s oldest rivalries. Las Vegas hasn’t lost in the series since the 1990s, and it continues to be the program’s most significant game each fall.
