Centennial is getting closer to its peak.

The Bulldogs registered a third straight blowout win Friday night in beating Cimarron-Memorial 44-8, but it wasn’t quite perfect.

“I’d love to say that we’ve been great but we have yet to put together four quarters of football,” Centennial coach Leon Evans said. “When we do, it’s going to be scary but we haven’t yet.”

The performance against the Spartans might be the closest the Bulldogs have come. Junior running back Kayvon Miller led the way with 217 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

Fellow junior back Quavion Arnold pitched in 113 yards. Junior quarterback Jamaal Evans went 14-for-22 through the air to total 221 yards and three touchdowns.

Junior receiver Savon Scarver was his favorite target with four receptions for 92 yards and two touchdowns.

“We’re getting better but we’ve had some injuries,” Evans said. “But no one’s going to care that we’re hurt. We’ve got to keep working through it.”
