President Barack Obama has often claimed that Gitmo creates more terrorists than are in it, and for that reason, he wants to close it.
I’d like to know if the president feels that way about drone strikes. In both cases, “suspected” terrorists don’t get a trial. At Gitmo, they are incarcerated indefinitely. With a drone strike, they are killed. I suspect that in either case, it angers terrorists and probably creates new ones.
It seems to be pretty twisted logic.
