Was that a Navy Blue Angel F-18 that just flashed by in the latest Erin Bilbray TV spot? By golly, that’s what it was. Turns out Bilbray’s young daughter, Caroline, wants to be a Navy pilot. As a retired career Navy pilot, I hope she makes it and enjoys it as much as I did.
Then Bilbray shows a quick shot of her father in uniform. Impressive. Thank you, sir, for your service.
But not much is said about Bilbray’s own accomplishments. And the spot deliberately obscures Bilbray’s Democratic Party affiliation. Surely she wouldn’t be trying to grab some glory from her daughter’s dreams and her father’s military service. Surely not.
