Cimarron-Memorial tops Desert Oasis to snap four-game skid

Derek Morefield completed 12 of 17 passes today for four touchdowns to lead the Cimarron-Memorial High football team to a 38-3 victory against visiting Desert Oasis to snap a four-game losing streak.

“Our guys just finally executed,” Cimarron coach John Parcells said. “We have the talent to play with the teams on our schedule. We were just leaving plays on the field.”

Rasaan Mills caught two touchdown passes for Cimarron, and Channing Reagan and Michael Soukup also had touchdown receptions for the Spartans.

Cimarron scored on special teams when Dallin Breen blocked a punt and Antonio Barboza recovered the loose ball in the endzone for a touchdown.

“I firmly believe we figured it out,” Parcells said. “We know what we can be. We have the talent.”
