The construction worker hit and killed early Friday morning by what police said was a drunk driver was Las Vegas resident Marilyn Rouse, the Clark County Coroner's Office said Saturday.

Rouse, 49, was directing traffic at a marked construction site on Warm Springs Road at Cebolla Street around 2 a.m. when she was hit by 21-year-old Selina Gonzalez-Gascon, Henderson Police said.

Police said Gonzalez-Gascon was driving under the influence and kept driving after the accident. She was finally stopped by other construction workers at the scene.

Rouse was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where she later died.

Gonzalez-Gascon is in custody and faces multiple felony charges, including felony hit and run.
