A rotten workplace for the filthy rich

Rep. Jon Runyan, R-N.J., is getting out of Congress because, as he says, it’s a rotten, disgusting place to work.

Wow, this doesn’t hold well for the folks who are making decisions that affect all of us. I guess the other Congress folks say, “Yeah, we know all that, but the pay is great and the retirement benefits are ridiculously high, not to mention all the perks we receive.”

I realize this is just one person’s opinion, but after what Congress has done, or hasn’t done the past few sessions, most of us would agree with him. Runyan is a former NFL player who says “at least in football you know who your opponents are.” I’m wondering how many others in Congress would agree.
