Letter to the Editor:

Republicans aren’t creating jobs

I listened to John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, etc., talk about Obamacare as the No. 1 job killer in the U.S, and I have no reason to doubt the validity of the statements they are making, as who would know more about not creating jobs than our esteemed Republican leaders.

I would like to know what jobs have been created by Ted Cruz, Scott Walker, the wonderful Gov. Rick Scott of Florida, Bobby Jindal, and of course let’s not leave out our potential presidential hopefuls such as Mitt Romney, Gov. Bridgegate (Chris Christie) of New Jersey and whomever the Koch brothers can purchase for the job of president.

Not to worry, once the Republican House and Senate force President Barack Obama to open the Keystone pipeline, we will have created thousands of jobs pumping that sludge out of Canada and over our heartland water supply, not to mention the 35 permanent jobs we will have after they lay off the initial digging crews! Just as an afterthought, we might be able to create thousands of jobs hiring people to do the repair work on the pipeline after it breaks and contaminates our water supply. How’s that for a cheery aftermath!

Jobs, jobs, jobs. With our experienced Republican obstructionists, who will be concerned with the future employment of our people? Certainly not our Republican-led government.
